We asked for a service on our domestic combi boiler. Very nice pleasant guy. Was very punctual turning up exactly on time. We were quoted £80 which was paid in full upfront. The only reason why this is 2 star and not a 5 star review is because of the following. When you have your boiler serviced you expect to receive a 12 month certificate! When we asked for the certificate we were told that it would be an additional £20. Also this additional £20 had to be paid in CASH. I totally disagree with this. But I needed the gas safety certificate. My receipt showed total cost of £80 although I had to pay £100 I know what it’s like to be self employed but this really is not acceptable. I guarantee he is not declaring the extra £20 and I most definitely should not have had to pay extra for the certificate. Despite the great service received this left me feeling ripped off, which is a real shame. If he had not done this he would have a fantastic 5star review but because of what he did I really can not recommend Richard Neighbour to anyone.
