Just re-visited the pub and Deacon behind the bar is still very customer friendly and absolutely focused on pleasing the customers. We come about 3 times a year and really enjoy coming in this pub

We parked outside the main entrance of The Scarborough Flyer and paid for parking. When we arrived there was no security present. Just over an hour later we returned to find two security guards outside and a large amount of spit/phlegm on the side window of our car from the direction of the pub. Either customers did this while security were standing there and nothing was done, or it happened while they were present. Given how quiet it was at the time, it raises concerns about what happened while the door staff were there. When we approached the car, one of the guards looked at us and laughed. No one said anything or offered any help. Very unprofessional behaviour. I hope management at The Scarborough Flyer reviews their door staff and CCTV from this evening.
