Asked for sausage and bacon on toast, the younger girl who doesn’t seem to have any manners then puts a broken egg on instead, didn’t realise the mountain of already cooked bacon and sausages didn’t get warmed back up before serving, and first cafe I have ever been to that only put 1 sausage on the toastie when ordering sausage and bacon on toast. Was also charged £1 for a small spoon of beans on top of the toastie. Never again be going there
Tasty sandwiches and extremely affordable prices, what's not to love?
Incredibly affordable, cheap as chips and super friendly staff. There’s places to sit under cover and you won’t regret it.
I came a couple days ago (probably December 3rd 2025) and ordered a cheese & onion panini, which was decent enough, but I think the atmosphere let things down a bit. There was an employee sweeping the floor with a broom (despite having no uniform) who looked a little lost. There wasn't really anything for him to sweep other than a single leaf. Not only that, he started complaining in an annoyed tone to one of his coworkers in front of everyone about how the other 2 women behind the counter were stressing him out. This isn't exactly the best look for any establishment! It was fairly crammed too despite there surely being enough space to move the counter back a bit. I think doing that would make it a bit less chaotic. The staff were polite enough at least, but I do feel like the atmosphere could be a little brighter and more welcoming overall. That could include being a little more friendly and smiling more! For example, a rather tall man walked out from the back and up to the counter, but he mostly stared and didn't say anything. I'm sure he's actually a lovely fellow, but it did feel a little bit awkward. Overall, it's a good place if there aren't any other options. The panini I had was good at least, and it's clearly that the food must be decent enough since it has good reviews and was busy. However, the nearby cafe Union Brew is probably a better option, as it's literally a 1 minute walk around the corner and down the road. There's also a nearby Costa that's very good.
