If you are looking for an electricians to sign a landlord electric certificate. Here is a big red WARNING for you before you pay a certificate invoice. This engineer came and check the electric issues in our house. He’s very polite and helpful pointed a lot of safety issues. I have no doubt about his professionals. I trusted too much on what he said. BTW my house was under kitchen and bathroom refurbishing, a lot of work hasn’t been finished, but he just put all the in progress electric works under C3 category. All things were finished a week later. BUT, at the end I ask how much I need to pay to fix everything I order to get a certificate for me to rent out this property, he didn’t gave any but asked me to pay the certificate firstly. As I was rush to rent house out, I paid £150 immediately for the invoice and no doubt I got a unsatisfied cert, after two days. Then I asked for quote, another two days later, I got a call and asked me to pay £900 for fix everything. I didn’t expect I need to pay that much to fix them. Then I asked a few more electricians. They pointed out similar issues, BUT all of them gave me a quote firstly and reminded me that: to get a certificate I need to fix a.b.c.. and how much I need to pay. they just kindly remind me that some issues can be fixed easily. Most importantly None of them asked me to pay the invoice of certificate firstly. Some of them gave less quote and even better suggestions. I felt it was not fair for me because the cost is unpredictable. To not wasting the certificate money I’ve paid, it put me into a no choice situation. I messaged this engineer to gave an explanation, he asked me to complain him to niceic if I’m not happy. But the problem is that I have no problem of his professionals(I didn’t hire him to fix anything at the end). Everything he pointed out were correct and met regulations. I just feel very passive on the service he provided. My conclusion is: if you are a landlord and need an electrical safety certificate, please compare quotes from different electricians. DO NOT pay a cert invoice before getting a happy quote, otherwise you have a risk wasting it.

Had an issue with our kitchen wiring and they were able to come out the same day and look at it. The next day it was all resolved at a very reasonable price. Electrician was very knowledgeable and polite.

Ash did a great job and he has very friendly personality. He also offered good advice on maintenance and improvement. Excellent company and service.
