1. About RestoreTrade

RestoreTrade is a free, verified business directory operated by Mycelium Consulting Ltd. These terms govern your use of the website and any account you hold. By using the site you agree to be bound by them.

2. Listing your business

• Listing is free.
• You must be the owner or an authorised representative of the business you list.
• All information you submit must be accurate, complete, and kept up to date.
• Limited companies must provide a valid Companies House registration number; sole traders may list without one.
• We reserve the right to reject, suspend, or remove any listing that fails verification, breaches these terms, or attracts substantiated complaints.

3. Verification

"RestoreTrade Verified" confirms a business has passed our verification checks (see how we verify). Verification is not a guarantee or endorsement of quality, reliability, or trustworthiness. Users engage businesses listed on RestoreTrade at their own risk.

4. Claiming a listing

A listing may be claimed by its owner via the claim flow at /claim/[slug]. We accept three forms of evidence:

• Companies House director match (your authenticated email matches a current director)
• Email-domain magic link (you can receive email at the listing's domain)
• Manual review (where above options are unavailable; turnaround up to 5 working days)

Once verified, the claimer becomes the listing's primary owner with permission to propose edits via the dashboard. Edits go through a moderation queue before publication.

5. Reviews

• Reviews must be honest, fair, and based on a genuine experience as a customer.
• Businesses may not post reviews of their own listings (whether directly or through agents).
• Reviews containing abuse, defamation, threats, or fraudulent content will be removed.
• We rate-limit reviews per user, per business, per 24 hours to deter manipulation.
• Right to reply: business owners with verified claims may reply to reviews on their listing.
• Edits, retractions, and removals are handled by emailing reviews@restoretrade.co.uk from the email address that posted the review.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Impersonate another business, individual, or RestoreTrade staff
• Use the directory for spam, scams, or to facilitate fraud
• Scrape, mirror, or republish directory data outside the AI/LLM allow-list (see AI policy) without prior written permission
• Attempt to bypass authentication, RLS, rate-limits, or moderation systems
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users or businesses

7. Intellectual property

The RestoreTrade name, logo, design, code, and database structure are the property of Mycelium Consulting Ltd. Business owners retain ownership of their own content (descriptions, images, replies) and grant RestoreTrade a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display that content in the directory and any derivative discovery surfaces (sitemap, llms.txt, /data/*.json, RSS).

Aggregate directory data is published under CC-BY-4.0 at /data/businesses.json, /data/categories.json, and /data/counties.json — attribution required, derivative works permitted.

8. AI / LLM crawling

We explicitly allow major AI/LLM crawlers (full list at /ai-policy/) to index public listing data for use in training and inference. Business owners may opt their listing out of AI ingestion by emailing privacy@restoretrade.co.uk.

9. Limitation of liability

RestoreTrade is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mycelium Consulting Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the directory or any engagement with businesses listed on it. Our total liability is capped at the amount you have paid us, which for free listings is zero. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

10. Removal and account closure

You may request removal of your listing or account at any time:

• Listing removal — email remove@restoretrade.co.uk from the registered address
• Account deletion — POST to /api/gdpr/delete.json while signed in (see data subject rights)

We may also remove listings or close accounts that breach these terms or attract substantiated complaints, with notice where reasonably possible.

11. Changes to terms

We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use after a material change constitutes acceptance. Material changes affecting account holders are notified by email.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
