We contacted Gav for a new boiler and we could not have been happier with the service we received, reliable , professional, explains exactly what is being done, perfect job with our new boiler, we have since had other small jobs done, and will again in the very near future. We trust Gav 100% and will have him servicing our boiler every year without question and will highly recommend him to everyone we know. Thank you so much
Gav was really pleasant, I had booked him for a boiler service. He turned up on time and carried out the job efficiently. Will definitely use him again.
Just had my boiler serviced. Very clean, good price and advise. Thank you. Robin in Warton
5 years on from my last review I am still using Gav for all my work both at home & for all our rentals. He is honest, reliable & his work is always of a high standard. He doesn't inflate his charges & is often given keys to properties whilst the tenants are at work & is completely trustworthy. I would highly recommend him & I often do just that!
Not happy at all. Work needed doing on a boiler at a house we were selling and I foolishly gave Gav keys so he could let himself in and do the work. Unknown to us and without permission he let the prospective buyer in and as a result the sale of the house fell through. The issues quoted were all known about by the buyer well in advance and contracts were about to be exchanged but we were not there to deal with the queries and lost the sale because of it. After the work had been done there was no mention that he had let them in without our knowledge or permission. Not trustworthy and absolutely furious. (04-03-25) Edit - after seeing Gav's reply I want to make a couple of things clear. First, Gav is a friend of the people that were going to buy the house. He came with them as their handyman on a previous viewing and does other work for them. To give the impression that the prospective buyer just turned up out of the blue and that I was the one that told her when he was there is misleading at best (and I'm being really generous with that). And second, I also told him beforehand that we needed the work on the boiler doing quickly because the buyer would not sign the final contract until it had been fixed , so he knew she was not the owner of the house (as claimed in a text message). Not to mention that he collected the keys from us and not from her. This is a serious lack of judgement on two counts. First to let someone into our house without checking that it was ok first, made even worse by the fact he knew her and knew she was not the owner as previously claimed. And second, to not say anything to us after the fact. To send us the invoice and not mention that someone else had been in the house...really?! Terrible lack of judgement for someone in a trusted position.
