Although work yet to be carried out, have to say that from when I called one evening with a hot water / heating issue and left a voicemail, they text me back that same evening saying message received and will contact me in the morning! (Even though they were closed!) I received a prompt phone call at 08:45am from a lovely lady called Kayleigh, booked us in for a visit the very same day! (Call out fee NOT extortionate either) So from first contact to booking in the job was around 12 hours, exceptional service up to this point! Hopefully they will solve the issue with little fuss, will update accordingly. Honestly though, this is how good businesses last the test of time! Really impressive and super local to us as well. If you are looking for local boiler / heating engineers, you’ve found them! Give them a call, I don’t think you will be disappointed! 👏🏻
Mulgas are competent and professional. But, they are also compulsive upsellers, finding extra work and renewing equipment at every opportunity. If you want perfection and money is no object then Mulgas are for you.<br>If you are on a budget and simply want servicing, safety, with maintenance and replacement only when really needed, look elsewhere.
Had Ok CH experience with Mulgas previously so asked them to carry out (what was diagnosed) a basic plumbing job (replace basin tap, waste and toilet flush button).<br>They initially applied markup on parts of > 40% (considered “ordinary business”) and charged for parts not used, and looked to charge 3 hrs (when only 2 hrs on site) covering initial callout and return visit to fix (followed by 2 free of charge recalls to rectify poor workmanship). To compound matters, they were unable to replace flush button (wrong part ordered!) and had the audacity to quote further 1 hr if we wanted it fixed.
Fantastic installation of a new system that made use of existing warm air ducts. G could not have worked harder. Big fan.
My two experiences with Mulgas so far have been nothing but positive.<br><br>I would like to highlight the second time. For nearly 10 days, I was without hot water or heating this was not ideal as my wife has a heart condition. Hometree came along last Monday, and all the engineer did was stick a big fat danger label on my boiler, and tell me that my boiler is crap (which I already knew) and to get a new one, he did nothing to help us and actually put us into a worse position than before. Hometree refused to do the repair, declaring my boiler beyond economic repair which was deeply heartbreaking as the boiler would have not been in such a state if they had just fixed the issues that I have repeatedly notified them of for many years.<br><br>The whole of last week was nothing but pure stress for me and my wife who was experiencing heart palpitations (most likely due to us having to do bucket showers with heated water from a kettle in an 8 degree home), and I was unable to properly work as I had to keep chasing Hometree, and trying to urgently organise an engineer visit.<br><br>Then on Friday, I spoke to Kayleigh from Mulgas who was not only sympathetic to my situation, she went above and beyond by speaking to Mulgas' Owner - Dave, who came to my property on his day off to inspect my boiler, and give me insightful recommendations of what sort of work needed to be done to my home boiler setup, including what boiler to get.<br><br>Fast forward to Monday this week, after speaking with Kayleigh again, she manages to pull some strings to get one of their engineers (George, who was fantastic by the way) to do an emergency job boiler installation for me given our situation.<br><br>By the end of Monday night, I had not only a new boiler, but a nice hot shower with heating all thanks to George, Kayleigh & Dave.<br><br>Thank you team for providing me with such excellent service!<br><br>Trevor
