A good place to buy many things for your house, I especially like choosing plants for the garden.
I’m absolutely appalled by my experience at B&Q today. I approached a member of staff for help finding an item, and despite being on the shop floor and in full uniform, he told me he wasn’t on duty yet and refused to assist. I found this incredibly unhelpful and unprofessional — if staff are on the floor in uniform, customers naturally expect some level of assistance. Really disappointing service.
They have top soil and compost out by the car park but instead of going in and purchasing it by means of the cashier scanning a barcode they have at the till and then you park the car adjacent to the bags and load them in, they expect you to load all the heavy bags into a trolley, wheel it all the way into the score, scan it and pay for it and then wheel it back out again and offload it into your car. Absolutely ridiculous. It can't be for theft reasons as people could still park up and load it in anyway.
